Bright Starts Kashmir Ingenuity Full Size Cradle Swing Review

The Bright Starts Kashmir Ingenuity cradle swing is an alternative to the more popular Fisher Price ones if you care about having a super quiet swing for your baby. This model employs a Whisper Quiet technology and many parents have commented how silent this swing is compared to others out there that often have a clicking noise when turned on.

The swing is battery-powered and the seat rotates 180 degrees so that you will end up with the typical two different swinging motions – side-to-side and front-to-back. The seat also has a two-position recline and a removable tray lifts up either way for easy access to your baby.

There are 6 swing speeds for you to choose from and this speed does not change over time as your baby grows heavier. In other words, it would not be weighed down by your growing baby unlike other swings that tend to slow down with the increasing weight. For entertainment, there are 10 songs plus nature sounds to soothe your baby to sleep. A simple mobile is also provided with a few hanging plush toys. It pivots so that you can swing it out of the way when you need to lift your baby in and out of the seat.

For convenience, you can set the Ingenuity swing to operate for 30, 45 or 60 minutes by using the timer feature.

To Buy Or Not To Buy?

If you are looking for a swing with a plug-in option, then it is not for you. However, it does use a technology that helps you to conserve on batteries. Many parents who have reviewed this swing have said that the batteries do last a long time, up to 6 months or more. The claim by the company is that the technology allows you to use the same set of batteries for over a year although that will logically depends on how much you use the swing on a daily basis.
